Qualification

1. Educational: Master's degree in Economic or Statistics or Mathematics or Commerce or Psychology or Sociology or Education of a recognized University or equivalent.
2. Experience: Ten years experience in the field of
   • Collection analysis and interpretation of data or Socio-Economic Investigation or Research, relating to demographic employment and manpower problem. OR
   • Employment Service Operation including employment Market Information. OR
   • Vocational Guidance and Employment Counselling. OR
   • Personnal Organisation and Management.
   Doctorate in the relevant subject.

Duties

Responsible to the Deputy Director General (Employment) for all operation of Employment Directorate i.e.

• (i) Employment Service procedures
  (ii) Vocational Guidance and employment counseling
  (iii) Conduct of surveys on matters of employment, unemployment etc.
• Providing specific service to the weaker sections of the society i.e SC/ST and the handicapped.
• Supervision of CIRTES (Subordinate office of DGE&T), which is responsible for bringing out career literature, conduct of research in the employment procedures and organization of training courses for the benefit of employment officers.HQ: New Delhi with liability to serve anywhere in india.
