Deputy Director in Storage & Research Division, Department Of Food & Public Distribution, Ministry Of Consumer Affairs,Food & Public Distribution. Of the four posts ,one post each is reserved for scheduled castes and Other Backward Classes Candidates and remaining two Post are Unreserved

Qualification

1. Educational: Master's degree in Entomology/PlantPathology/Bio-Chemistry from a recognised University or equivalent OR Master's degree in Agriculture with specialisation in Entomology/PlantPathology/Bio-Chemistry from a recognised University or equivalent OR Master's degree in Zoology/Botony with specialisation in Entomology/PlantPathology from a recognised University or equivalent .
2. Experience: Five years experience in teaching/research/extension work, including aspects related to Storage and preservation of food grains.

Duties

Deputy Director is the head of field offices/field Station of S & R division. He is to carryout supervision and inspection of Quality Control and R & D Activities for assessment of quality of foodgrains in Central pool during procurement, Storage and distribution under PDS. HQ: New Delhi with All India Service liability.
