Upsc-Assistant Professor in Dance in Government Home Science College,Chandigarh, Education Deapartment, Chandigrah Administration. The Post is exclusively reserved for Scheduled Castes Candidates.

Qualification

Educational:(i) Good Academic record with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 points scale with letter grades system of O,A,B,C,D,E and F at the Master's degree level in Dance from an Indian University or equivalent degree from a Foreign University.
(ii) Basides fulfilling this qualification candidate should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Assistant Professor conducted by the University Grants Commission /Council for Scientific and Industrial Research or Similar Test accredited by the University Grant Commission . ("Good Academic Record" means at least second class with fifty persent marks in Graduation Degree).
Note I: National Eligibility Test/State Level Eligibility Test shall remain the compulsory requirement for appointment as Assistant Professors Provide, however, that candidates who are or have been awarded Ph.D. Degree in comliance of the University Grant Commission (minimum standard and procedure for award of Ph.D Degree) Regulation, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in university/college/institutions.
Note II: Relaxation of 5% may be provided from 55% to 50% of the marks at the Master's level for the SC/ST category.
Note III: Relaxation of 5% may be provided from 55% to 50% of the Marks to the Ph.D Degree holder who have passed Master's Degree prior to 19th September 1991.
Note IV: B in the 7points scale with letter grades O,A,B,C,D,E and F shall be regards as equivalent of 55% wherever the grading system is followed.
Note V:Relaxation of Minimum Marks at the PG level from 55% to 50% may be provided to candidates who have cleared the Junior Research Fellowship Examination conducted by University Grant Commission/Council of Scientific and Industrial Research Only Prior to 1989 when the minimum marks required to appear for J.R.F Examination was 50%.
